This time of year features all the major sports media outlets releasing their NFL Preview Magazines. If you’re like me, this becomes Black Friday shopping in the summer, where you hit up all the major grocery stores to see if they have these magazines in stock.
Fortunately for me, on June 11th, I found Lindy’s NFL Preview at Meijer. Lindy’s is really good at going in-depth on each team and division in the NFL. They also give their division, wild card, playoff, and Super Bowl predictions.
This year,
Lindy’s has the Bengals picked to make the Super Bowl. They have the Bengals beating the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game and going to Super Bowl LXI.
Unfortunately, they also have the Bengals losing to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LXI. Sound familiar?
Lindy’s says the Bengals are the AFC North’s best team with a healthy Joe Burrow. It’s hard to dispute that. The Bengals got a vast talent infusion this offseason, primarily on defense. Additions featuring Dexter Lawrence, Boye Mafe, and Bryan Cook make this defense so much better on paper.
On offense, the Bengals extended Dalton Risner and Orlando Brown Jr. and also re-signed Joe Flacco to back up Joe Burrow.
Joe Burrow has said this offseason that this is the most talented team he’s ever been around in his career with the Bengals. He said they’re “going to go win the Super Bowl” when talking about that talent and expectations for this season.
Clearly, Lindy’s Magazine is buying into the Bengals. Let’s just hope they’re wrong about losing to the Rams in the Super Bowl. This time, the Bengals would be looking to finish the job.
