It was only eight months ago that The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh returned from injury, and it looks like he’s out again. But he says he’ll be right back from this one.
That previous absence was due to broken
ribs and a punctured lung he suffered wrestling the War Raiders on Raw in January. The 35-year-old Irishman was out three months, returning at WrestleMania to help Dirty Dom keep his Intercontinental title. McDonagh and his mentor Finn Bálor reclaimed the World Tag titles in June and reigned until October, when they dropped the belts to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
Now, McDonagh posted the following to his Instagram Story. It shows him in a hospital gown on a gurney giving two thumbs up, presumably pre-surgery. An inset photo shows one hand wrapped up, (kinda) giving a thumbs up. That one is presumably post-op. JD added the captions:
Been working thru some stuff for the last few months, but now is the time to pump the brakes and get put back together.
Won’t be long, BRB.

McDonagh last wrestled Nov. 24, against Rey Mysterio on Raw. He’s continue to appear with The Judgment Day since.
We doubt he will tonight. We wish him well on his recovery, though.
