Every preseason, people make predictions. Some are obvious, while others are quite bold.
So looking back, what would’ve been a bold prediction heading into this season?
Picking Duke to be in first in the ACC? No, but picking Clemson to be tied for first halfway through would’ve been, after all the talent they lost.
Picking Cam Boozer or Caleb Wilson to be ACC Player of the Year Candidates? No, but picking Henri Veesaar to lead the ACC in double-doubles would’ve been.
Picking Miami of Ohio to be the last
remaining undefeated? Absolutely, though looking at their schedule it isn’t as crazy as it might appear.
So, with all that said, what is one bold prediction for the Tar Heels for the rest of the season?
How about the Tar Heels will only lose one more game this regular season. That may seem a little crazy after they just lost to Miami on the road, dropping their record to 2-4 on the road in conference play, and still have three road games as well as three very tough ranked opponents left to play. But that’s what makes it bold.
