The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers have been fully embracing some classic AFC North football this afternoon.
Bengals superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Steelers’ Jalen Ramsey have been going back and forth all afternoon, and it finally boiled over.
The two had been jawing all game and were both flagged for personal foul calls in the 4th quarter.
Just moments after the offsetting personal foul calls, Ramsey threw a punch at Chase during a timeout, which forced his ejection from the game.
The Bengals were looking at a crucial 4th and 1, but Ramsey was flagged 15 yards for the punch, giving Flacco and the offense an automatic first down.
Ramsey was visibly upset after the Bengals’ win earlier this season when Chase tallied a franchise record 16 catches, and the beef between the two carried over into this afternoon’s matchup.
The ejection didn’t mean much for the Bengals as the team has now dropped to 3-7 on the season with NFL playoff hopes likely all gone.
