Good morning, Chargers fans!
UDFA rookie cornerback Avery Smith has been turning heads in training camp thus far with multiple standout days. He had the chance to learn behind former first-round pick Quinyon Mitchell while at Toledo and that mentorship seems to be paying off early in the pros.
It’s still very early, but this is not unlike the path other former UDFA corners took to making the Chargers roster, including Nikko Reed a year ago who may have been joined by Eric Rogers if it wasn’t for a major
injury to the latter during the preseason.
As of this moment, do you think Smith will break through to the final roster in September? Do you think Reed will keep his spot as the final corner kept? Let us know all of your thoughts below!
And now for today’s links.
