Welcome to a new preseason, folks!
With training camp just a few days old and the roster still very much in flux, these first couple of preseason games are a good chance for fringe players to state their NHL case.
As a reminder, the preseason is shorter this year, with just four games — compared to six in the recent past.
The regular season starts just a week from Tuesday, so there isn’t a ton of time to shake off the rust.
If you’re joining us from the SB Nation app (iOS and Android), this will be our
maiden voyage on that platform’s new Game Chat feature.
Per the developers, the Game Chat is meant to improve the watchalong experience, so I’m curious to get your feedback later on tonight.
I’m also not entirely sure if this new feature will change anything in your overall Public Skate experience, but we’re all just along for the ride here, so let’s see how it goes.
Anyways, puck drop is sometime around 5 PM. Last I checked, you could get into the game tonight for $20 including fees, so not a bad take in if you’re looking for a Sunday evening activity.
