The NFL heads into week two, so let’s look back at the former Orange who played last week:
Arizona Cardinals: Garrett Williams
Williams started for Arizona and was credited with three tackles and one QB hurry in the win over New Orleans.
Atlanta Falcons: Matthew Bergeron
Bergeron was the starting left guard in Atlanta’s opening game loss to Tampa Bay.
Cleveland Browns: Andre Szmyt
Szmyt made his first field goal, but missed a potential game-winner and was also 1-2 on extra points. Even with the disappointing
start, Szmyt gets a chance again this week.
Dallas Cowboys: Justin Barron and Alijah Clark
Both former Orange defenders began the season on the practice squad in Dallas.
Detroit Lions: Jackson Meeks
Meeks remained on the Lions practice squad to start 2025.
Indianapolis Colts: Zaire Franklin and Max Mang
Franklin started and had four tackles in the opening week win over Miami. Mang stays in Indy as their international player on the practice squad.
Jacksonville Jaguars: LeQuint Allen
Allen had one carry for 7 yards and one reception for 4 yards in the win over Carolina. If he keeps up this blitz protection, he’ll keep earning more playintg time.
LA Chargers: Oronde Gadsden and Marlowe Wax
Gadsden was not active for the opener in Brazil, but Wax made his NFL debut playing special teams for the Chargers
Miami Dolphins: Iffy Melifonwu and Isaiah Johnson
Melifonwu started at strong safety and recorded six tackles in the loss to the Colts. Johnson began the season on the practice squad.
New England Patriots: Tommy DeVito
DeVito was New England’s third quarterback but he’s got some camera time on Sundays thanks to his endorsement deal with Progressive,
New Orleans Saints: Fadil Diggs
Diggs saw limited snaps in the opener, but saw the field on defense and special teams.
New York Jets: Andre Cisco
Cisco started at free safety and made two tackles in the loss to Pittsburgh.
Philadelphia Eagles: Kyle McCord
McCord began the season on the practice squad.
Seattle Seahawks: Courtney Jackson
Jackson was on Seattle’s practice squad for the opening week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Riley Dixon and Sean Tucker
Tucker had 3 kickoff returns for 81 yards. Dixon had 4 punts for an average of 51.3 yards per attempt and two punts inside the 20.
We’ll keep you updated on these players as the NFL season progresses.
