How are you liking the month of October so far, Cleveland sports fans?
The Cleveland Guardians will look to extend their 2-1 series lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series this afternoon, weather permitting. Depending on how things shake out, the Guardians could earn a trip to the World Series sometime on Saturday.
Then, on Sunday, the Cleveland Browns have a chance to get right back into the AFC North Division race when they host the Baltimore Ravens. Win, and the Browns wake
up Monday morning in a tie for the division lead.
It’s October in Cleveland, and for the first time in what feels like forever, there is much to be excited about.
Let’s Friday rolling with today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Chow.

Keys for the Browns in Week 6 versus the Ravens (Abby Mueller): Stopping Lamar Jackson (if he plays) and Derrick Henry have to be pretty high on the list, right?
Jets Minkah Fitzpatrick fined for hit on Browns KC Concepcion, but he wants it reduced (Jared Mueller): Someone apparently wants to have their cake and eat it too.
Browns WR Jerry Jeudy ‘fits the bill’ as a trade target for a top team (Jared Mueller): Jeudy is this year’s recipient of the “his name will be in every national trade speculation article” award.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns Week 6 TV Map (Chris Pokorny): Who are the fortunate viewers who will get to watch Sunday’s game?

Cleveland Browns
Browns guard calls Deshaun Watson’s 8 sacks vs. Jets unacceptable; Todd Monken urges a quicker release at times (cleveland.com): Hard to argue with either of those statements.
Why the Browns’ run game is at the root of their offensive struggles (ESPN): It all starts with the running game. Or lack thereof.
How Browns are dealing with injuries ahead of Ravens game (Beacon Journal): Not much else to do at this point other than say, “next man up!”
Isaiah Bond wishes he didn’t step out of bounds after catch vs. Jets, thought he was ‘way closer to the sideline’ (Browns Zone): There is this concept known as “spatial awareness.” Maybe the Browns should practice it a bit more?
NFL
Jalen Hurts ruled out of Eagles vs. Panthers with superficial blood clot (The Athletic): Superficial or not, that does not sound good.
Chiefs still have faith in pass rush, despite going without a sack since Week 1 (ESPN): Not getting a sack in a game? That would never fly in Cleveland!
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield appears out Sunday against Steelers (Tampa Bay Times): Looking like Baker won’t be able to do his old team a solid on Sunday against Pittsburgh.
