Bayern Munich has one of the strongest squads in Europe.
Sustained European success requires squad depth and multiple top-quality options, which has led to Bayern’s pursuit of Moroccan star Ismail Saibari, who has been tearing up the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven and is already making a name for himself in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It seems that the football world is taking notice, and this includes Saibari’s international team comrades, with Bilal El Khannouss expressing his opinions in an interview
to SkySportDE’s Patrick Berger (@berger_pj), as captured by @iMiaSanMia. When asked about Saibari being linked to Bayern, El Khannouss responded, “To be honest, I don’t get involved in other people’s careers. He is a very close friend of mine, but I don’t interfere in such private matters. I don’t know whether it’s true or not.”
Understandable. Despite multiple sources reporting the deal to be close to completion, they are still rumors at this point. He continued, “But for his sake, I hope it is, because he truly deserves it.”
High, high praise, and a positive sign for Bayern. Saibari might be worthy of a spot in the Bayern roster, and Bayern are certainly more than deserving of a player of Saibari’s quality.
Keep your eyes peeled for this blockbuster, folks.
