It’s an absolutely beautiful weekend in Western New York, and the Buffalo Bills are on their bye week. That’s quite a gift for Bills Mafia to have no “football responsibilities” this weekend. Well, that’s only true if you avoid watching the rest of the action around the NFL.
Another gift for the week came this past Thursday, when the Chicago Bears handed the New England Patriots a 30-24 loss. That drops the Patriots to 4-3, and 1.5 games behind the Bills in the AFC East.
Early this morning for those
of us in the United States, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New Orleans Saints 16-10 in municipality of Saint-Denis, FR, effectively in northern Paris — the site of the latest NFL International game. Does the NFL’s core of fans really want more international games? Back to the matter at hand: That leaves the Steelers and 42-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers at 5-2, and angling for a postseason run.
There’s plenty more to take in, if you’re allergic to sunny, warm fall weather. Of utmost importance for Buffalo should be the scouting opportunity found in a spicy AFC North matchup.
