Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report.
In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included Trick Williams defeating Johnny Entrance Wrestling, Oba Femi resisting his fate as a future Paul Heyman Guy, and Penta unveiling the coolest Money in the Bank briefcase in history, a lot of fortunes were changed.
With that in mind, let’s see whose
stock decreased the most this week:
Stock Down #3: Big Cass
Cass continued his losing ways on this week’s Raw, this time losing a singles match against the much smaller WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Big’s singles push is going nowhere fast, which makes all the speculation about Enzo Amore returning to WWE only grow louder.
Stock Down #2: Baron Corbin
Corbin served as the random heel who Cody Rhodes punted in the head on this week’s SmackDown. WWE is trying sell how devastating this move is, so Baron will presumably be out for a while selling its effects. It’s pretty clear from the muted crowd reaction that Corbin is out of place in a WWE main event angle in 2026. Let’s hope he doesn’t return in a few weeks seeking revenge via dog food torture.
Stock Down #1: Nikki Bella
On this week’s SmackDown, Nikki Bella set up a title match against WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green for the Oct. 30 episode. The WWE Hall of Famer then went out there and lost a match against Paige, making her look weak and like a total pretender heading into her upcoming world title match. Did Paige win because WWE is thinking about adding her to make it a 3-way title match? I don’t know, but I do know that Nikki Bella is the worst world title challenger in 2026.
Now let’s see whose stock increased the most this week:
Stock Up #3: Chad Gable
Babyface Chad Gable continues being excellent at beating babyface luchadors to retain his Intercontinental championship on Raw, this time picking up a win over AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix. Gable now gets enough ring time to have the best matches on Raw whenever he wrestles.
Stock Up #2: Roxanne Perez & Liv Morgan
Perez rebounded from her loss at Money in the Bank by defeating WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green in a non-title match on Raw. Morgan laid out Green with her finisher afterwards to get some heat ahead of their champion versus champion match at Crown Jewel.
Stock Up #1: Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes returned to WWE programming with a bang as the newest member of 946 as they beat the hell out of The Bloodline on Raw. Some fans think Melo is just there to be the smaller guy in the group who can sell and get beat up. But even in that worst case scenario for him, he is still now a member of the hottest faction in WWE, probably going to get booked in a War Games match, and has plenty of TV time coming his way to show off his skills.
There you have it, Cagesiders. Whose stock do you think changed the most this week?
