The Missouri Tigers improved to 7-3 (3-3 SEC) on the season with a 49-27 win over Mississippi State on Saturday night. Mizzou also jumped back in the latest rankings — checking in at No. 23 in the AP Top
25 poll and No. 22 in the College Football Playoff.
While the 12-team College Football Playoff is out of the question for the Tigers — Eli Drinkwitz’s squad can still put together a good season by finishing strong. Mizzou is projected to finish the regular season at 8-4 with a loss to Oklahoma and a win over Arkansas.
Spoiling the Sooners’ College Football Playoff hopes could go a long way in improving Missouri’s bowl standing. From our SBN Reacts survey, we asked the fanbase what bowl game do they want Mizzou to land in — and the majority voted for the Gator Bowl.
Perhaps there’s more work to do to get to the Gator Bowl but with a record of 7-3, it’s almost a guarantee that Mizzou winds up in an SEC Pool of Six bowl. Let’s check in on the latest bowl projections entering Week 13:
