They’re tiring. They’re exhausting. They’re enough to make a sane man question his place on Earth. The Atlanta Falcons, ladies and gentlemen.
After another week of amazing football, led off by a crazy TNF divisional win by the Falcons, week 16 is already shaping up to be another all-timer. A primetime TNF game between two of the better teams in the league, A Green Bay-Chicago matchup that may decide the fate of the NFC
North, and a chance for the Jaguars to legitimize their spot as a contender in the AFC.
Let’s get after it:
1) Seattle Seahawks (11-3) (even)
Third-straight week in a row at the number-one spot. No pressure, but they do have the Los Angeles Rams coming into town…again, no pressure.
2) Los Angeles Rams (11-3) (+2)
There’s nothing better than when the two best teams in the NFL duke it out on primetime television. This is going to be a classic.
3) New England Patriots (11-3) (-1)
I don’t know what’s more unfair. The fact that the New England Patriots are back atop the AFC again, or the fact that they have an opportunity to dash the playoff dreams of Lamar Jackson on national television.
4) Denver Broncos (12-2) (+1)
The defense is amazing, the offense is sound, what more could you want? I am intrigued by how they fare against this Jaguars team, though.
5) Green Bay Packers (9-4-1) (-2)
After dropping one to the Broncos, can the Packers regroup and take the NFC North away from the Bears? Especially without Micah Parsons?
6) Buffalo Bills (10-4) (+1)
You’re never out of it when you have the world’s most dangerous weapon at quarterback. Josh Allen continues to find ways to will his team to victory.
7) Los Angeles Chargers (10-4) (+1)
To be the man, you have to beat the man. They’ve swept the Chiefs, now they have two weeks to charge up before they have to beat the next man atop the AFC West.
8) Chicago Bears (10-4) (+1)
Bears-Packers. Chicago is a much different team than year’s past, but is it enough to seize the NFC North?
9) San Francisco 49ers (10-4) (+1)
If it wasn’t for the rest of the top of the NFC West being a freakin’ wrecking ball, the 49ers’ resurgence back to the top of the NFC would be a bigger story.
10) Detroit Lions (8-6) (-4)
Detroit is fighting for their playoff lives as the top of the NFC North continues to show strength. With the loss last week against the Rams, winning out is the only way to snag a playoff spot again in the Motor City.
11) Houston Texans (9-5) (even)
There’s nothing else to say about this Houston team. They are beating people up on the defensive side and the offense is slowly coming back to form.
12) Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) (-1)
These don’t look like the ‘Same old Jags’. It took him a while, but Trevor Lawrence is starting to live up to the billing. If he’s the truth, there’s no better time to prove it then against a Denver defense that’s top five in both points and yards allowed.
13) Philadelphia Eagles (9-5) (+1)
Will they make the playoffs? Absolutely. Will they be ousted in the first round? Maybe. Will there be any changes to the coaching staff? Probably not.
14) Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) (+2)
I’m sure that catbird seat feels pretty good right now, even if the Ravens are heating it up a bit. That end of season matchup for the AFC North is going to be a slobberknocker of a football game.
15) Indianapolis Colts (8-6) (even)
I wish the best for Colts fans, I wish the best for Phillip Rivers, but their playoff hopes were pretty much dashed when Daniel Jones went down.
16) Baltimore Ravens (7-7) (+1)
The objection for the Ravens’ 2025 season is simple: Continue to creep back into the picture. Make the final week’s matchup for the AFC North.
17) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7) (-5)
How can you not be romantic about the NFC South? Honestly, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are doing everything in their power to give the division away, let’s see if the Panthers are willing to take it.
18) Carolina Panthers (7-7) (even)
The first of two crucial battles for the NFC South, Panthers-Bucs. Just like the Good Lord intended, right?
19) Minnesota Vikings (6-8) (+3)
I get it, it’s the Commanders and the Cowboys, but seeing the J.J. McCarthy offense work for two straight performances is nice.
20) Dallas Cowboys (6-7-1) (even)
Go ahead and pack it up, Cowboys fans. Losing to the Vikings was the nail in the coffin, and there’s not even a real way to play spoiler at the end of this season since the Commanders and Giants seasons are wasted away, too.
21) Kansas City Chiefs (6-8) (-2)
When it rains, it pours, man. Hope Patrick Mahomes can come back next season and be just as good as we remember.
22) Miami Dolphins (6-8) (-1)
The Tua era in Miami is finished, and there are going to be some tough decisions to make throughout
23) Atlanta Falcons (5-9) (+4)
Seriously. What is this team? There’s no consistency with this squad from week-to-week. It’s the world’s worst roller coaster ride, and I’m ready to get off.
24) Washington Commanders (4-10) (even)
What may be the worst defense in the NFL goes up against the Philadelphia Eagles who are known to get hot at the right time every season…God help us all.
25) Arizona Cardinals (3-11) (even)
This season has not been what they thought, Arizona thought they were making strides towards competing at the top of the NFC West. They have not. Now, they’re wondering if they have the right coach in place to do that. We will see.
26) Cincinnati Bengals (4-10) (-3)
Being shutout by a divisional rival is never fun. Maybe this is the true beginning of the end for the Zac Taylor era.
27) New Orleans Saints (4-10) (+2)
Thank you New Orleans for forcing the NFC South to be a pure chaos machine over the next three weeks. We truly appreciate it.
28) New York Jets (3-11) (-2)
Jacksonville had their way with the Jets last week. Now, they have a disgusting fight against the New Orleans Saints to see who can scrape their way out of the bottom of the basement of the league.
29) Tennessee Titans (2-12) (+1)
Is anyone intrigued by the thought of a potential Cam Ward legacy game against the defending AFC Champions? Just me? That’s fine.
30) New York Giants (2-12) (-2)
The Giants are in a good place where they have their quarterback and a great draft pick in a class with very few quarterbacks. They may mess around and find a way to build their team back up within the next couple of years.
31) Cleveland Browns (3-11) (even)
Let’s just try to keep Shedeur healthy for the rest of the season, cool?
32) Las Vegas Raiders (2-12) (even)
An absolute dumpster fire that is on their way to Houston…good luck.
