The SEC has released its daily availability report ahead of Saturday’s matchup between Kentucky and Texas at Kroger Field, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
The report, which is published every Wednesday through Saturday when SEC teams face off, lists players under four categories: Probable (75% chance to play), Questionable (50%), Doubtful (25%), and Out (0%).
For Kentucky, ten players appear on this week’s list, with seven ruled out for Saturday’s game. Those sidelined include running back Jamarion Wilcox
(#10), outside linebacker Jacob Smith (#16), defensive back Nasir Addison (#21), inside linebacker Devin Smith (#32), defensive lineman Nic Smith (#55), wide receiver David Washington Jr. (#82), and tight end Elijah Brown (#85).
Among those listed as questionable is wide receiver Troy Stellato (#0), while offensive lineman Aba Selm (#53) is probable to play. Defensive back Jaden Smith (#24) also appears on the list.
However, Kentucky did receive some good news with star defensive back DJ Waller Jr. expected to return after missing four straight games. Waller has seen limited action this season, recording one assisted tackle in the opener against Toledo, but his presence in the secondary should provide a major boost against Texas’ explosive passing attack.
For Texas, starting center Cole Huston is out, while key backup running back CJ Baxter is doubtful, so that’s two important pieces likely to be out for the Horns. Baxter had over 800 yards from scrimmage last year but has played in just three games this year due to a hamstring injury.
Kickoff from Kroger Field is set for 7 p.m. as the Wildcats look to pick up a signature SEC win under the lights.
