A significant number of teams, including the Cleveland Browns, have head coach openings as the offseason begins. The following teams currently have a vacancy at the position:
- Arizona Cardinals
- Atlanta Falcons
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cleveland Browns
- New York Giants
- Tennessee Titans
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Miami Dolphins
The Baltimore Ravens are probably the most desirable opening given that 2-time MVP Lamar Jackson is the quarterback of the team. Any head coach will be able to come in and know that they will be in playoff contention in 2026. A team like the New York Giants may be a desirable job given the success of rookie quarterback Jaxson
Dart. It would be a unique opportunity to work with him and develop him so early on in his career.
The Browns could be a more desirable landing spot than many are giving them credit for. They have draft capital to work with to improve the offensive side of the ball. On the other side of the ball, Cleveland boasts a wealth of defensive talent. The opportunity to work with players like Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward would certainly be appealing.
The Browns’ most recent draft class would also be an enormous appeal for any potential coaching candidates. There is a great deal of young talent on this roster that would be appealing to work with. If a candidate is comfortable working with a young or inexperienced quarterback, this job has many other attributes that would be exciting.
Let me know what you think in the comments – Is the Cleveland Browns’ head coach a desirable job compared to other head coach vacancies?
