- The Mariners are reportedly “not actively” seeking help at third base. They appear content to enter spring training with Ben Williamson and Colt Emerson competing for the position.

- The Winter Meetings concluded with a bang, with first baseman Pete Alonso signing a five-year, $155M deal with the Orioles.
- The Tigers are bringing back right-hander Kyle Finnegan on a two-year, $19M deal. Finnegan was acquired mid-season by Detroit in a trade with the Nationals.
- Outfielder Mike Yastrzemski is joining the Braves on a two-year, $23M contract.
