Green Bay Packers starting linebacker Edgerrin Cooper went down with an ankle injury in the third quarter of the team’s playoff game against the Chicago Bears. Cooper initially walked off the field under his own power, but was then shown in the blue medical tent during the game’s broadcast.
Cooper is the team’s weak/Will linebacker with Quay Walker starting at the middle/Mike linebacker spot and Isaiah McDuffie playing the strong/Sam linebacker spot. With Cooper out, the team has pushed McDuffie into
the Will role and used Ty’Ron Hopper, who came away with a red zone interception versus the Bears, as their third linebacker.
Officially, the Packers have now ruled Cooper questionable to return to the game.
When more information comes, we will update this post.
