Hardley Gilmore, we hardly knew you (again).
With fall camp beginning for Kentucky Football, KSR’s Jeff Drummon reports that Gilmore is no longer with the program and has been dismissed for a violation of team rules.
Originally a 4-star recruit in the class of 2024, Gilmore has had a rocky start to his college career, to say the least. After battling through injuries to appear in seven games as a true freshman, Gilmore entered the portal in the 2025 offseason, landed at Nebraska, was kicked off the team
in the spring, and wound up back at Kentucky
Last season, Gilmore totaled 28 receptions for 313 yards and one touchdown for the Wildcats. He then re-entered the portal in the offseason, committed to Louisville, flipped his commitment to Baylor, and then wound up back at Kentucky, where he was expected to have a significant role this upcoming season for the Wildcats’ rebuilt receiver corps.
Alas, Kentucky is now left with a wide receiver group led by returning sophomore DJ Miller, while new names like Shane Carr, Nic Anderson, and Kenny Darby will look to become key contributors.
