Over the summer, Juventus contacted Bayern Munich this summer and enquired about Josip Stanišić.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), Juve were in the market for a right-back, but balked at Bayern’s price tag of €50 million for the Croatian International. Bayern also counter-offered Sacha Boey, but Juventus was not interested.
Per the report, the 25-year old Stanišić will remain a target for Juventus going forward. His contract with the German Rekordmeister runs until the Summer of 2029.
Unless something changes drastically with his performance, Bayern will likely not lower their asking price in the near future.
Stanišić joined Bayern in July of 2017. He made his senior debut in 2021 before joining Bayer Leverkusen for their historic 2023/24 double winning season. Stanišić earned his first cap with Croatia in September 2021 and has earned 25 caps on the way to being a regular call up for the full senior team.
