Bayern Munich executive board member for sport Max Eberl is no stranger to seeing his job security debated in the media. A flurry of reports and quotes recently paint Eberl’s position as a precarious one, with opinions and intimations about his standing with different Bayern board members flying left and right:
However, Eberl himself is not worried.
“Last summer, people kept saying the whole
time that my future was hanging by a thread,” Eberl stated in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia. “I simply do my job and want to do it as well as possible.
“Bayern is my club. Despite all the complexity, we are on a very, very good path. And then the supervisory board will make its decision.”
For an executive whose job status has been the topic of so much media speculation in recent — and not-so-recent — days, Eberl sounds very relaxed. It has been a rather eyebrow-raising topic, too. Would Bayern really part ways with the leader of its sporting regime after a season as successful as the 2025/26 campaign?
