The holidays are right around the corner and players from clubs like Bayern Munich are looking forward to the days off during the winter break. The club can’t dawdle, however, as there are already plans
to follow.
According to a report from Abendzeitung journo Maximilian Koch (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia), Bayern will start the preparation for the second half of the season on January 3 followed by the traditional fan club visits by players and officials the day after that. There’s also the possibility of a random friendly match, for match fitness reasons, before what’s coming next.
The Bavarians have a hectic January, as there are six matches on the calendar. Three straight Bundesliga matches which begin with a home match against Wolfsburg (01/11), away to Köln (01/14), then away to Leipzig (01/17). Next, the Rekordmeister will be welcoming Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League (01/21) before hosting Augsburg in the league (01/24) followed by the last UCL group phase match, which is an away day affair at PSV Eindhoven (01/28).
