Hickory Crawdads outfielder Kaden Carpenter has been named the Carolina League Player of the Week for August 25-30, 2026, it was announced yesterday.
Carpenter was 7 for 18 with a double, two triples, two homers and six walks in 26 plate appearances, and also reached via a hit by pitch, giving him a .389/.577/1.000 slash line for the week. For the season, Carpenter is slashing .253/.410/.538 with 20 walks and 28 Ks in 117 plate appearances over 27 games for the Crawdads, while splitting time between
the corner outfield spots and first base.
Carpenter is a big (6’4”, 230 lb.) lefthanded hitter who was the Rangers 9th round pick in 2026. He was a senior sign out of Utah Valley State, where he transferred after spending his first three seasons with the University of Utah. Baseball America, in their draft write-up on him, noted that he put up impressive exit velocity figures as a senior.
