Week 7 was a frustrating one for fans of the New York Jets. The team lost in ugly fashion to the previously winless Miami Dolphins.
There is a bit of good news for the team when it comes to NFL Draft position. Not only do the Jets own three first round picks, but the Indianapolis Colts, whose final record impacts one of those picks, appear to have raised the white flag and gone into seller mode ahead of the trade deadline.
After Week 7 of the NFL season, the Jets are in position to own three of the top
twelve pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
The current order per Tankathon:
- Chargers 0-6
- Titans 1-6
- Dolphins 1-5
- Commanders 1-4-1
- Texans 2-5
- Eagles 2-5
- Jets (from Colts 2-5)
- Cardinals 2-5
- Buccaneers 2-5
- Jets 2-5
- Saints 2-5
- Jets (from Cowboys 3-4)
- Raiders 3-4
- Browns (from Rams 3-4)
- Falcons 3-4
- Ravens 4-3
- Seahawks 4-3
- Patriots 4-3
Picks 19 through 32 are determined by the outcome of games in the NFL Playoffs
The Jets appear on their way to another disappointing season, but there is at least some reason for hope. The team’s rookie class is playing at a pretty high level generally speaking, and the team has three early picks in what appears to be a deep Draft.
