On Tuesday, August 25, the New Orleans Saints, in partnership with American Safety, surprised the Patrick F. Taylor Academy football program with a $25,000 donation of brand-new Riddell SpeedFlex helmets, giving the young athletes an exciting and meaningful boost as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
The athletes had no idea what awaited them when head coach Kenneth Bourgeois led them into the gymnasium. What began as a routine gathering quickly turned into a memorable moment as the team
learned they would soon receive brand-new protective equipment.
Before the presentation, American Safety CEO Corey Rosales, former Saints linebacker Rickey Jackson and former Saints wide receiver Devery Henderson addressed the athletes. Their presence gave the students an opportunity to hear from individuals with firsthand experience at the highest levels of football. Their messages emphasized the importance of preparation, teamwork and, most importantly, player safety.

When the helmets were finally unveiled, the students rushed to the tables with excitement to check out their new gear before taking the field for practice.
