CM Punk and AJ Lee are going to be in their element come this Saturday night, because WWE is heading for the United Center in Chicago, Illinois for its Elimination Chamber premium live event. Both are booked for the card in title matches, so it made all the sense in the world to send the married couple off to do press together.
They appeared alongside each other on ESPN’s First Take and Stephen A. Smith was surprised to learn this will be Lee’s first singles match in a decade. She admitted to having
some nerves about that:
“Yeah, in over a decade. A little nervous. I got back in in a tag match with the Best in the World, and I had the best tag team in the world the last one. So, on my own this time.”
She did say she believes herself to be the best of her own generation while Becky Lynch, her opponent this weekend, is the best of the current generation. When they tussle for the Intercontinental championship, they should be just fine.
Plus, it’s in Chicago and the fans should be insane for it.
What could go wrong?
