Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been spotted back in the city on Thursday to finalise a loan transfer to Ajax.
According to Jijantes, the German goalkeeper is back from vacation “and expects to finalize his departure in the coming hours.” He already has an agreement in place with Michel’s side and is now awaiting the green light from Barcelona.
One potential problem is Ter Stegen’s salary as Ajax are reportedly only prepared to pay a fraction of his wages during the loan.
Barcelona have
been busy finalizing exits ahead of the start of pre-season and Ter Stegen appears to be the next player out of the door.
The Catalans have seen Ansu Fati complete a permanent transfer to Monaco, while Inaki Pena has joined Panathinaikos.
Barcelona have also handed Andreas Christensen a new two-year deal that includes a 50% pay cut, freeing up more space on the wage bill.
