The Golden State Warriors conclude their six-game road trip with a Florida back-to-back starting with Tuesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic. The game will be played at 4:00 PM PT in Orlando and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State has now won four of its last five games after beating the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, 124–106.
The night belonged to Moses Moody, who opened the game by knocking down seven threes in the first quarter — joining Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as the only Warriors to ever accomplish such a feat. Moody finished with a career-high 32 points while shooting 8-of-12 from deep, capping off one of the best performances of his five-year career.
What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors will put their win streak on the line against a Magic team sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 7–7. Golden State isn’t expected to rest its veterans on the front end of this back-to-back, but they will once again be without Jonathan Kuminga, who is set to miss his third straight game with a knee injury.
Turnovers will be a major focus for the Warriors. They committed 21 turnovers against New Orleans and currently own the fifth-highest turnover percentage in the NBA at 16.4%.
Orlando doesn’t force many steals — ranking 24th at 7.9 per game — so limiting the self-inflicted mistakes will fall squarely on Golden State as head coach Steve Kerr has placed added emphasis on cleaning up those possessions heading into tonight’s matchup.
