What would the Los Angeles Rams final 53-man roster look like if the fans were able to create it? Now we don’t just have the question, we also have the answer: A 53-man roster entirely created by Rams fans.
Over 100 of them.
This week, I created a tool allowing fans to create their own 53-man roster and immediately over 100 of you responded and submitted your own personal 53-man rosters.
The results were fascinating, giving us 26 players on offense, 24 on defense, and showing us which players are entering
training camp on the roster bubble, according to some of the more divisive selections from Rams fans. Here is your consensus 53-man roster created by you, followed by some fascinating notes.

Wow, there you have it: The only 53-man roster projection that actually matters heading into camp because it’s the only one that was created by over 100 Rams fans working together.
Fascinating Findings
Bubble Players
Last In: CB Cam Lampkin
Lampkin is the last player in, collecting 46 percent of the votes. Lampkin, a 2024 undrafted free agent, has only played in four games, all in 2024, and has zero career snaps on defense. Making it on the roster here is a fascinating bubble choice going into camp.
Now if you feel like eight offensive linemen is not enough, that’s certainly a switch that you could try to make, although that gives the offense an even bigger numbers advantage over the defense.
This is a gap quite obviously created by Sean McVay’s apparent insistence to load the tight end room. Will the Rams actually end up keeping three quarterbacks, four running backs, six receivers, and five tight ends?
I think that’s where the problem really lies. Not that Lampkin was the last player in.
Xavier Smith’s biggest asset to the team will be as the punt returner, although we can’t sleep on his deep threat ability as a receiver either because L.A. doesn’t have many other options there.
Last Out: OT AJ Arcuri
Given AJ Jackson’s situation, Arcuri not making it onto the roster sounds even more unlikely than it already does. But he only got on 45 percent of your rosters.
So you may be wondering: Does a suspended player count against the 53? The answer is no. Therefore, we could probably sub out Jackson for Arcuri in that case, but the NFL hasn’t announced any discipline for Jackson yet.
Next Last Out: LB Nikhai Hill-Green
If the last out isn’t Arcuri, then it’s an undrafted free agent rookie linebacker. Obviously, Hill-Green already has some fans going into camp: 37.9 percent of you to be precise.

These players were on every roster—and yes, Ty Simpson not being on this list means that one or two people were either joking or don’t understand how the NFL works.

We can also add these players to the list because not being 100 percent is just not realistic: LS Jake Cardona, CB Jaylen Watson, LT AJ Jackson (but suspended maybe), RT Warren McClendon, C Coleman Shelton, NT Poona Ford, LB Nate Landman, G Kevin Dotson, S Kam Curl, TE Max Klare, G Keagen Trost, and also probably TE Colby Parkinson, TE Tyler Higbee, TE Terrance Ferguson, TE Davis Allen—although to be fair could one trade happen because of the numbers? It’s possible.
Basically, over half of the roster is guaranteed to make the 53. Most of the other half is over 80 percent to make it. The actual “bubble” wouldn’t start until you get to the last five or six spots.
Players who were on 3 rosters or fewer
These players have fans, but not many:
- QB Matthew Caldwell, 1 roster
- DL Jaxson Moi, 1 roster
- DL Payton Zdroik, 2 rosters
- TE Mark Redman, 2 rosters
- TE Rohan Jones, 3 rosters
- DT Bill Norton, 3 rosters
So fascinating that of all the positions to sneak someone on the roster…tight end.
Rams keep 3 QBs
Matthew Stafford and Ty Simpson are guaranteed to make it, but Stetson Bennett still appeared on 84.5 percent of your rosters. This indicates a belief that Bennett will win the backup job—and Simpson won’t.
We can call this “all part of the plan” and that does seem to be the case, but we can’t deny how unusual it is for a 13th overall pick, or really any first round pick, to be slotted as QB3 for an entire season. Even Trey Lance was the backup for the 49ers in 2021, when the 49ers were vying for a Super Bowl with (coincidentally) Jimmy Garoppolo.
And what if Bennett is good? What if Stafford misses four games and Bennett replaces him and is good? Do the Rams let Bennett leave as a free agent in 2027, with no compensation, or do they re-sign him and continue to put distance between Simpson and the field?
I don’t think Bennett will be good, but if he wins the backup job, then the implication is that he’s good enough.
In any case, the fans think the Rams will keep 3 quarterbacks.
And I always listen to the fans.
