Rumors for the Day:
- According to Bodyslam.net, WWE considers Bron Breakker to be their “next true big star” who could lead the company for years like Roman Reigns.
- Despite speculation about Montez Ford being the masked mystery man who helped The Vision on this week’s Raw, Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez was “told specifically” that it was not Ford. However, it also wasn’t Austin Theory this time.
- Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer heard that the match order for John Cena’s retirement at Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend is still “in discussion” in WWE. It sounds like Cena has privately said he wants to be in the opening match of the night so that NXT wrestlers can be viewed as the main eventers.
- WWE sources told PW Insider that the company is working on having “some surprises” at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
- Per Alvarez, Jack Perry “actually hurt his ankle” in the Continental Classic match against Kazuchika Okada this week on AEW Dynamite and thought it “might be broken.” However, Jungle Jack “apparently felt better” later, and it looks like he’s “gonna be fine.”
- WrestleVotes Radio claims that WWE’s first ever PLE in Italy is scheduled for May 31, 2026. It will be the first PLE after WrestleMania 42.
- Alvarez mentioned that MJF is finished with his movie commitments and has been backstage at AEW events. He’s expected to return to AEW programming next week in Manchester for the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal at Holiday Bash.
