The Arizona Cardinals brought in eight players on Tuesday for tryouts. Most likely, these are simply to update GM Monti Ossenfort’s player database, just in case a player becomes injured.
One player in particular looks like he was brought in as a possible keeper either on the main roster or the practice squad: OG Jamaree Salyer.

The player list appears to have a purpose regarding positions with four receivers, a QB, and two linebackers.
Among the athlete list
is QB Conner Bazelak (6’-3”, 225 pounds). He was a six-year senior due to the pandemic. He played for Missouri, Indiana, and finally Bowling Green for his final two years. He had 53 college starts and passed for 12,349 yards with 66 touchdowns against 39 interceptions. He went undrafted last year and was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad, then was a final-day cut this year.
Salyer (6’-4”, 335 pounds) played in 47 games in four years at Georgia. He was a full-time starter his final two seasons and won a National Championship in 2021. The Los Angeles Chargers made him a sixth-round draft pick in 2022. Salyer has played in 64 NFL games with 40 starts with LA, then signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent this spring, but was a final cutdown in August. He could fill the void left by losing OG Matt Pryor.
The other players who worked out include LBs Bradyn Swinson and Riley Wilson. The four receivers are Joaquin Davis, Courtney Jackson, Shedrick Jackson, and Dayton Wade.
Swinson (6’-4”, 255 pounds) of Oregon and LSU was a fifth-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2025 and played mainly on special teams. Wilson (6’-1”, 226 pounds) went undrafted out of Arizona this year and signed with the Patriots, was released, signed to the practice squad, then waived on September 29.
