The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially released their first depth chart of training camp, just over a week ahead of their preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers.
Offensively, it’s a lot of chalk. All eyes have been on the battle for the backup quarterback spot. As it currently stands, Mason Rudolph is listed in the QB2 spot, with Will Howard at QB3 and Drew Allar at QB4.
The offensive line is as expected, with the lineup from left to right being Troy Fautanu, Mason McCormick, Zach Frazier,
Spencer Anderson, and Dylan Cook. Broderick Jones is listed as the backup left tackle with Max Iheanachor as the backup right tackle.
Roman Wilson is the starting slot receiver alongside DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman as the other two starters, Germie Bernard is listed behind Pittman.
Defensively, there were some actual surprises. Yahya Black is listed as the team’s starting nose tackle, with veteran Sebastian Joseph-Day as the No. 2. Linebacker Carson Bruener is in the top four of the linebacker rotation, with Malik Harrison coming in fifth on the depth chart. Considering his price tag, that could hint at his future with the Steelers being short.
