Eddie Hall believes he could be on a collision course with Francis Ngannou.
The past World’s Strongest Man champion has transitioned nicely into the combat sports world, becoming one of the most interesting draws in the fighting community. Hall is currently set to face Tommy Fury at a Misfits Boxing event on June 13.
Hall opened a lot of eyes with a 30 second knockout of Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105 in April 2025 in his MMA debut. And when his career winds down, he wants to do his best work in the
world of MMA.
“So, end goal, I guess, is to obviously have those big, entertaining fights,” Hall told Uncrowned. “I do want to go out with a bang. Obviously, I’ll do boxing, but I really love the MMA. I thoroughly enjoy the MMA. I quite fancy putting my hands up right at the end and taking a title shot — like a European title or a world title — and just, win, draw or lose, go in and give it a shot.
“Let’s just go in for a big title. And that would be my win, draw, lose, and done. See what I can do in the world of MMA and get out. I’m nearly 38 years of age and I’m feeling the effects of age. I’m definitely not 19 anymore.”
Since his big win over Pudzianowski, many have been wondering if a matchup with Ngannou could realistically happen.
Hall seemed to be against the idea, initially, but as time has gone by, it’s a matchup he sees as the biggest he could get as his fighting career is, admittedly, heading towards its final chapter.
“Honestly, it’s a tough one,” Hall said. “It’s going to be a big name. There’s people like Phil de Fries in KSW. … There’s obviously people like Francis Ngannou, who are just the biggest, scariest bastards on the planet. Like a big, big fight like that.
“It would [be a sight]. I’d train my bollocks off for it and I think that would be the last one for me — win, draw or lose. I just want to go up against the biggest, baddest person I could go up against and see if I can grab a title. Imagine winning World’s Strongest Man and coming into the fight world and grabbing a European title, or a world title from Francis, or something. It would just be insane.”
As far as how long Hall has left competing, he lays it all out that he wants to be done by the time he hits the next round number.
“I feel like I have two years left in me,” Hall said. “I feel like by the time I’m 40, I’m looking toward being done. There’s probably 18 months left in me.”
