The Buffalo Bills signed defensive end Morgan Fox to the team’s 17-man practice squad on Wednesday, November 12. The 31-year-old Fox most recently spent time with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2025 preseason
before being released.
Fox is a nine-year NFL vet (2016-17; 2019-current) who began his professional career as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Los Angeles Rams. He has spent considerable time in Los Angeles — four seasons with Rams, and the last three with the Los Angeles Chargers. Between those two LA teams, Fox spent a season with the Carolina Panthers. His 2018 season came to an abrupt end after tearing his ACL during Organized Team Activities that spring.
Fox has had a productive, if underappreciated career, making 183 tackles (120 solo), 33 tackles for loss, 51 quarterback hits, one safety, 27.5 sacks, three pass defenses, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 34 starts out of 120 games played.
It remains to be seen how and where Fox might fit best with the Bills, but the team has a glaring need to replace defensive end Michael Hoecht, and his diverse role, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tear.
