The Golden State Warriors are going to attempt to keep their early momentum rolling tonight, as they hit the road to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. Like the Warriors, who are 4-1, the Bucks have a superstar,
championship aspirations, and are off to a good start this season, as they’re 3-1, and most recently secured a double-digit victory over the New York Knicks.
Both teams are fairly healthy, so it should be a fair face off. Here’s the full injury report for each team.
Warriors
Out — De’Anthony Melton (left ACL surgery)
Melton remains out, but we finally got an update for the veteran guard. He’s ramping up activities, and will spend time practicing with the Santa Cruz Warriors when Golden State is on the road, and he’ll be re-evaluated in mid-November.
Out — Alex Toohey (left knee injury recovery)
More of the usual for Toohey, the No. 52 pick in June’s draft. He’s yet to be active this year.
Available — Moses Moody (right thumb soreness)
Moody has been rounding into form after missing the end of the preseason and the first two games of the regular season. His thumb is still bothering him, but thankfully won’t keep him off the court.
Bucks
Out — Kevin Porter Jr. (left ankle sprain)
Porter is a high-octane scorer, but has barely played this year. He was injured in Milwaukee’s first game of the year, and doesn’t yet have a timetable for his return.
Probable — Giannis Antetokounmpo (left knee soreness)
There was briefly a moment where Antetokounmpo’s status was in doubt for this game, which would have made life much easier for the Dubs. But now it looks like the star will suit up against one of his favorite opponents to play: Steph Curry. Antetokounmpo is up to his usual tricks this year, with absurd per-game averages through four contests: 36.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.3 blocks. Could it be a third MVP season for him?
Enjoy the game, Dub Nation. Tip-off is at 5:00 p.m. PT, and you can catch the action on NBC Sports Bay Area or NBA TV.
