The LSU Tigers return to Death Valley this week to take on the McNeese State Cowboys in what, on paper, should be a favorable matchup for the Tigers. However, one of the biggest questions heading into Saturday night is surrounding the status of quarterback Sam Leavitt.
Leavitt suffered a right leg/hamstring injury during LSU’s 35-6 win over Texas A&M and was seen limping at times before backup QB Landen Clark took over for several snaps. Despite the concern, Leavitt downplayed the injury following
the game, saying he would be “just fine.” but Lane Kiffin elaborated, “I’m not a doctor; it’s a hamstring, so it’ll eventually come back, but it’ll take a little bit of time.
With LSU entering the matchup at 3-1, the question now becomes whether Leavitt will be available against McNeese — and, if he isn’t, whether the Tigers can take care of business without their starting quarterback.
