Bayern Munich eliminated Real Madrid from the Champions League after a 4-3 (6-4 on aggregate) victory at the Allianz Arena.
The game was not without controversy, though.
In a chippy, physical contest Real Madrid was hit with two red cards. One for Eduardo Camavinga, who tallied two yellow cards for both grabbing Jamal Musiala’s shirt and time wasting, while the other was to Arda Güler for arguing.
The second red card seemed to set off Real Madrid as the players berated the referee crew as they were
trying to leave the pitch (as captured in this from Le Journal du Real that was posted by Fabrizio Romano).
In the clip, you can see Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany attempt to shake the hand of referee Slavko Vinčić before getting caught up in the Real Madrid mob:
Clearly, there was a better way to handle that situation than what Real Madrid did in that spot. It was an ugly ending to a bitter loss for Los Blancos.
