The Seattle Seahawks took apart the Arizona Cardinals, which is essentially a copy-and-paste statement I could’ve made at any point over the past four years. This one was a 31-7 thrashing that was far more appropriate a score than the 7-7 halftime mark. The Seahawks imposed their will in the second half and showcased why, even without Sam Darnold, they’re still the Super Bowl champions until someone unseats them.

Post-game recap: Marvin Harrison Jr hits new low (Theo Mackie, The Arizona Republic)
Entering this season, Harrison had an opportunity in front of him, with a new coaching staff and a new starting quarterback. He had proven inconsistent across his first two seasons, averaging just 51.5 yards per game and topping 75 yards on just five occasions. But perhaps the issue was his rapport with Kyler Murray, or his usage in Drew Petzing’s scheme.
Then, in Week 1, Harrison finished with one catch on three targets. So after a silent Week 2, he has now run 68 routes this season, earned four targets and hauled in just one reception.
Over the past decade, 12 wide receivers have been selected inside the top 10 of the NFL draft. Analyzing the first three seasons for each, only three of those players have produced a two-game stretch with one reception or fewer: Mike Williams, John Ross and now Harrison.

Up next are the Washington Commanders, whose season is already hit a crisis point due to the continued poor defensive showings and the latest Jayden Daniels dislocated elbow. The good news is they’re at home, and maybe that’ll give them some level of a boost. It sure as hell didn’t work last year when they were crushed on Sunday Night Football. Who’s up for Drew Lock to also have a perfect first half and four touchdowns like Sam Darnold had last season? Sorry, Dan Quinn. You were the DC for Seattle’s first Super Bowl, but business is business and these Seahawks have a job to do against your team (again).
