After back-to-back losses against the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos, inwhich quarterback Sam Darnold struggled with turnovers, the Seattle Seahawks are set to have their back up against the wall against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs this week with backup Drew Lock sidelined as he navigates through an ongoing right elbow injury.
Seahawks Week 7 inactives:
QB Drew Lock (right elbow) – Emergency QB
RB Zach Charbonnet (knee)
LB Drake Thomas (ankle)
LB Chazz Surratt (calf)
LB Connor O’Toole (hamstring)
RB Robert Henry Jr.
OG Beau Stephens
Defensive end Demarcus Lawrence (knee), linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (hip) and safety Nick Emmanwori (hip)—who were all listed as questionable, will play.
As for Kansas City, their offense is poised to be shorthanded as they’ll be without star wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring), among others.
With the 49ers loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon, Seattle has a chance to inch one step closer to first place in the NFC West if they can take down one of the league’s best. While it won’t come easy, quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be without two of his top weapons as the Seahawks defense looks primed to dominate once again.
