Recently, ESPN tabbed the Las Vegas Raiders as a “no brainer” landing spot for free-agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The hypothetical pairing is easy to understand. The Raiders, on paper, appear to have a need to add a wide receiver and Diggs is the best available player at the position.
There is little doubt Diggs, who’ll turn 33 in November, would be the Raiders’ best and most accomplished wide receiver. So, the thought of the addition is tempting.
Still, the Raiders are on the public as saying they
like their group of wide receivers and adding a player like Diggs could be a roadblock for some of Las Vegas’ young wide receivers. Also, Diggs has had some off-field concerns that may not be exactly what a young roster and a new regime may want to add to the mix.
What are your thoughts ESPN’s idea of the Raiders signing Diggs for this season?
