What is the story about?
We have reached the weekend, folks. Hopefully you have a lot of fun plans for Saturday, including getting a lot of stuff done so you are all ready for Cleveland Browns versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. With Baker Mayfield on the other side, can Deshaun Watson prove he should continue to start over Shedeur Sanders, or should we read into the Browns signing one of Sanders’ favorite college targets?
Cleveland Browns news from DBN
- Bernie Kosar talks Shedeur Sanders: If Sanders ever becomes a top-flight starting QB for the Browns, he’ll get talked about in the same light as Bernie. Kosar has hope.
- Scouting the Bucs, Baker Mayfield: Curtiss takes a look at what we have seen from Tampa Bay in Week 1, including from the QB and could the head coach be on the hot seat?
- Browns officially add WR Jimmy Horn Jr.: (Singing) “Reunited and it feels so good” along with Sanders.
- Nick Chubb video seems to indicate some regret: Should the Browns legendary back have rehabbed all of 2024? Did that decision lead to the quick end of his career?
- Browns vs Bucs picks: Anyone giving Cleveland any chance?
- Week 2 injury report: Only one big one to watch, CB Tyson Campbell, but at least he returned to practice on Friday. Teven Jenkins ruled out.

Cleveland Browns news from around the web
- This could be Deshaun Watson’s last Browns start, appearance (Cleveland.com): Really? No one has been thinking about that since he was named the starter (all sarcasm font).
- Week 2 ISN’T Deshaun Watson’s last as QB1 (FirstCoastNews): Really?
- ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith mocking the Browns (HITC): Listen, after Week 1, Cleveland is low-hanging fruit, and national folks are well within their roles to mock them. We do not have to like it or even agree with it.
- “Browns launch most delusional giveaway in NFL history” (The Big Lead): We shared it in The Feed; the Dude Wipes promo is a wild one; that is for sure.
- Browns must get Harold Fannin Jr. going in Week 2 (Dawg Pound Daily): The passing game struggled in Week 1, but Cleveland could take advantage of a Tampa Bay defense that struggled in Week 1 covering the Bengals tight end.
- Browns defense not overreacting to Week 1 (The OBR): My friend Fred Greetham covers Cleveland’s defense not fretting their 2026 debut too much.
