The Seattle Seahawks (5-2) are back from their bye week and on the road for a prime time matchup with the Washington Commanders (3-5). Seattle is undefeated away from Lumen Field and looking to continue the incredible road success under Mike Macdonald. The Commanders are in desperation mode, as 3-6 would be almost impossible to recover from in terms of reaching the playoffs.
Seattle may have had a week off, but it looks like practice took a toll upon return from break. Wide receivers Cooper Kupp and
Jake Bobo are among those who will not play, while safety Julian Love’s return to practice ever even happened. The Seahawks do get Devon Witherspoon and Derick Hall back to bolster one of the top defenses in the league, but the offense will be severely depleted at the wide receiver position. Meanwhile, the Commanders will welcome quarterback Jayden Daniels back into the lineup after he missed last week’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. However, Dan Quinn’s Commanders will be without star receiver Terry McLaurin, who re-injured his quad in the Chiefs game.
Tonight may also be the final time we see legendary former Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner take on his former team. Wagner competed against Seattle as a member of the Los Angeles Rams, and now he’s in a Commanders uniform as one of the league leaders in tackles.
