Sunday brought us the first game that counted for real.
Juventus got the three points. Their overall performance was mixed — at best.
There were signs of good things in the first half. There were also signs of things that made you feel uneasy in the first half — which is why the game ended at 1-0 rather than Juventus running away with things against Frosinone in the 2026-27 season opener. Then there was a second-half performance that probably should be left to as few words as possible based on how
Juve needed some help from the woodwork to see things out.
Ultimately, three points are three points.
But there is a whole lot more room for improvement — especially if Juventus want to avoid the kind of start that resulted in Luciano Spalletti being hired as the club’s manager in the first place.
Either way, one of 38 is now in the books, folks.
