He didn’t end up bringing his last match back to his hometown (he actually hails from West Newbury, Massachusetts, about 45 minutes away), but John Cena will make one of his final WWE appearances as a full-time
performer at Boston’s TD Garden on Raw next Monday (Nov. 10).
Cena isn’t wrestling, but who can say what might happen with him in the building as the tournament to determine his final opponent kicks off with two matches.
In addition to an appearance by the Never Seen 17 , and two men advancing in the tourney to determine who he’ll face on Dec. 12 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. — we’re also getting two women’s title bouts.
After The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Women’s World champion Stephanie Vaquer and Nikki Bella in a tag match last night, Rodriguez gets a shot at La Primera’s title in Beantown. And with their victory over Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, Kabuki Warriors Asuka and Kairi Sane get a shot at the Women’t Tag belts.
Sound like a send-off worthy of a Boston legend?
