We’re less than an hour away from kickoff between the Arizona Wildcats and Colorado Buffaloes at Folsom Field. Headed into today’s matchup, multiple key pieces will miss action today in Boulder, while
the Buffs will get two role players back against Arizona.
Defensively, tackles Tawfiq Thomas, Amari McNeill and Alexander McPherson will miss action. McNeill and McPherson have been pivotal to Colorado’s pass rush unit this season, so their absence will play a part in today’s game.
Cornerback Makari Vickers will once again be out for the third consecutive week, but RJ Johnson and Teon Parks are absent from the injury report, indicating they will be active today against Arizona. Johnson and Parks are CU’s top two options at the CB2 spot, so their return is massive for a Colorado defense that has struggled this season.
Offensively, the Buffs will be without WR Hykeem Williams and RB Simeon Price, both have missed multiple weeks while nursing injuries. Offensive lineman Xavier Hill will also miss action, which is a big deal because Hill has been a rock for the Buffs on the interior offensive line.
Additionally, WR Isaiah Hardge, OL Walker Andersen and DT Christian Walker are also listed as out.
