Good morning, BBN!
The transfer portal recruiting has really started to pick up, with plenty of visits scheduled to Lexington over the next few days by some of the Kentucky Wildcats‘ top recruits. With still no commitments in the fold, however, is it time for the fanbase to hit panic mode?
It seems to be a fair question, but maybe a premature one. In today’s day and age, it is all about negotiating and leverage. What is what way to get that leverage? Offers from other schools. That seems to be the stage
of the portal we are in at the moment, as the top players are weighing their options, looking for the best fit and contract. Does that mean Kentucky is completely out? That is what we have to wait and see.
For Mark Pope and his staff, they still have a few big fish in the water with Rob Wright and Zoom Diallo. Land one of them, and everything changes the perception of the start of the offseason. Whiff on both, and the pessimism is starting to set in.
Is it panic time yet? Not quite yet, but it is for sure inching closer.
