As Cain reminded us in our latest Rumor Roundup today (Oct. 2), four-time WWE World champ Sheamus’ contract with TKO’s pro wrestling brand was set to expire yesterday. The new Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirms that, but only passes along the existing rumors about AEW’s interest in the Celtic Warrior. They also point out that Sheamus has changed his online handles to S. Farrelly (his real name is Stephen Farrelly), which most believe will be his nom de wrestling wherever he lands next.
If that
is AEW, it doesn’t seem like Farrelly will share a locker room with former AEW Tag champs The Acclaimed. Fightful Select says Max Caster and Anthony Bowens also recently hit free agency. Not much of a surprise given the same outlet said last week that AEW hadn’t approached either man about a renewal, and we got further confirmation from Caster himself on X/Twitter:
Bowens hasn’t done anything as obvious, but last week did shoot down the possibility of a scissoring reunion…
What do you expect to see in Bowens and Caster’s futures? How about the Irish Fella?
