Sidney Crosby has made another career milestone and moved up the NHL’s all-time assist list.
Crosby recorded two assists in the 4-3 loss to the Ducks on the road in California, propelling him into 9th all-time
on the NHL’s assist list.
The Penguins captain now has 1,064 career assists, passing Detroit Red Wings legend Steve Yzerman for 9th on the list.
Crosby leads all other active NHL players by more than 200 assists. Patrick Kane is the second leading active NHL player with 854 assists.
Crosby now trails Adam Oates by 16 assists for 8th place on the NHL’s all-time list.
Over the past four seasons, Crosby has averaged 57 assists per season (based on playing 82 games).
If he plays at that pace for this season, he would likely pass Oates for 8th place and Joe Thornton for 7th place, leaving him close to catching Paul Coffey for 6th place all time.
