As posted earlier, KU has lost a highly rated recruit.
The initial acquisition of Dunnigan in January, when he picked KU over Kansas State, Nebraska, Stanford and others, was at the time a major in-state
recruiting coup for the Jayhawks, and helped set off a series of commitments from Kansan players during the winter. Dunnigan, who planned to play both sides of the ball during his time in Lawrence, also said that he attempted to play an active role in recruiting his contemporaries to join the Jayhawks.

Bill Self’s recruiting class of 2026 is currently the highest rated in the country after landing Luke Barnett.
Barnett is now the fourth high school recruit to commit to KU. He joins four-star center Davion Adkins (No. 34 overall), four-star small forward Trent Perry (No. 120 overall), and five-star point guard Taylen Kinney (No. 13 overall) as part of what is now the No. 1 ranked class in the country.
