The Arizona Cardinals made a couple of roster moves yesterday, one of which releasing veteran running back Michael Carter.
The surprise is that with Trey Benson still on the injured reserve for one more week, they only have Bam Knight and recently ailing Emari Demercado on the depth chart.
It sounds like per Josh Weinfuss that Carter will come back to the practice squad, and then likely be elevated if needed, but there seems to be other rumors circulating.
While some fans have grandiose ideas of Breece Hall, the more likely is a cheap veteran running back who can come in and fill a role for a couple of games. Maybe someone like Tony Pollard out of Tennesee?
We will see, but the two moves also make bringing back Walter Nolen III and Garrett Williams easier, as both could be ready to roll on Monday Night.
No matter what happens, it was an interesting set of moves for the Arizona Cardinals on a quiet Monday.
