No matter your feelings on the hype around him, how he performed in preseason and his first NFL action, his famous father, or your predraft evaluations, Cleveland Browns fans should be rooting for QB Shedeur
Sanders to prove today that he is a franchise quarterback. As we’ve noted, it will be extremely difficult for him to do so given all the limitations , but the Browns would be in a great position if Sanders solidifies the most important position in football.
The question this morning doesn’t really revolve around Sanders, however. It is about the great Cleveland fans and whether a Week 12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders is the desire and goal. Whether you assume Sanders plays great or poorly, the outcome of the game is not solely dependent on the quarterback position, even if it is vital.
With two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL draft, the Browns have a chance to build on a very solid 2025 NFL draft class. The higher their pick, the better chance of hitting on a star player (quarterback or not). There are many times that different fanbases will bemoan a random victory during a season because of how it ended up impacting their draft position.
On the other hand, winning is contagious, way more fun for fans and players, and could be the start of building something positive going into the 2026 NFL offseason. The Raiders are not a good team (neither were the New York Jets), so a loss could be even more demoralizing to the team and fanbase.
So, you tell us: Outside of Shedeur Sanders’ performance, do you want a Browns victory today or focused more on NFL draft position?
